High Dyke, Great Ponton, is inspected in line with LCC’s Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan (HIAMP); it is a Hierarchy 2 carriageway that is inspected and defects identified as per Appendix A and B of the HIAMP. Risk assessments are undertaken through the use of an electronic asset management system utilised by Highways, which enables the categorisation and prioritisation of work. The system does not generate a standalone risk assessment document and relies on the Highway Officer accurately inputting information and selecting the appropriate options to ensure correct job categorisation.
