Spalding - Pennygate Monks House Lane

Lincolnshire County Council recently received a request to review the waiting restrictions in the vicinity of Monkshouse Primary Academy.

The current restrictions are advisory and therefore are not always adhered to, assessments have shown that inconsiderate parking is taking place at school pick-up and drop-off times. The inconsiderate parking is taking place in the advisory school safety zone and on various junctions causing visibility issues and safety concerns for all road users.

Therefore, it is proposed to prohibit waiting as set out on the plans to the Order.

The Chief Constable and South Holland District Council have been consulted, along with other local groups/companies.
