Permanent exclusions from secondary mainstream schools

1. Please could you confirm how many permanent exclusions from secondary mainstream schools there were in total in 2023/2024?
 
2. Of these, how many were subsequently overturned on appeal?
 
3. Please could I check, do the waiting time figures provided relate to (a) the point at which interim provision was in place from day 6, or (b) reintegration into a full-time mainstream or alternative placement?
 
4. If the figures relate to reintegration, please could you also provide the mean and longest wait times for the day 6 interim provision separately? If this data is not held separately, please could you indicate that.

2. Six overturned by Governors, two quashed by Independent Review Panel but Governors declined to reinstate.

3. They relate to the point at which interim provision was in place from PX issue date, this can include reintegration into mainstream and AP.
