- Reasons
-
Investigations have shown that vehicles are parking on the existing no waiting at any time restrictions around school drop off and pick up times.
In order to enable Civil Enforcement Officers to issue Penalty Charge Notices without a five minute observation period the No Loading restrictions are being proposed. The existing no waiting at any time restrictions will remain.
The existing bus stop close to the school entrance is being relocated and mandatory School Keep Clear markings are being proposed in the location to prevent vehicles parking at the entrance to the school and improve visibility for pedestrians crossing Carlton Boulevard.
Therefore, it is proposed to prohibit waiting as set out on the plans to the Order.
