Money Spent on Cultural Services Activities or Buildings

1. The total amount of money spent by the council on cultural services, activities or buildings for the financial years:

2. For each of the above financial years please provide the council's total overall budget and indicate what proportion (or percentage) of that budget was spent on cultural services/activities



If 'cultural services or activities' is defined differently across departments or reporting frameworks, please included a brief explanation of what is including in these figures e.g. museums arts programmes, heritage services etc

1. a) 2021-2022 – we are unable to provide the figures for 2021/2022 as this information is on a previous finance system and accessing this would take us over the 18 hours threshold for completing these.

Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information 2000 does not oblige a public authority to comply with a request for information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying with the request would exceed the appropriate limit. The appropriate limit is currently £450 or 18 hours at a cost of £25 per hour. 

The exemption under section 12 is not subject to the public interest test 

Any refined request will be treated as a new request under the Freedom of Information Act.
