Map of Land Highway land and Other Assets

Request

Please could you advise:

1) whether Lincolnshire County Council holds a list or map of land, highway land, verges, small parcels of land or other land assets owned by LCC within Barrowby Parish;

2) whether any such land is being reviewed as part of, or alongside, the reunification process;

3) whether any LCC-owned land within the parish may be capable of transfer or acquisition by the Parish Council;

4) what process the Parish Council would need to follow if it wished to express an interest in acquiring land from Lincolnshire County Council;

5) what information the Parish Council would need to provide before LCC could consider any request;

6) whether there are any timescales, deadlines or decision-making stages the Parish Council should be aware of; and

7) who the appropriate officer contact would be for further discussion.

Decision

1) Lincolnshire County Council does hold maps showing highway maintainable areas but no highway maintainable areas will be disposed of as part of the LGR process, the highway will not change and will continue to be maintained as is now.

2-7) Details of all land owned by Lincolnshire County Council can be found at the link given in 1) above. This is accessible to anyone accessing the Lincolnshire County Council web-site and is often updated and reviewed. Any disposal of any Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) owned land will be declared surplus and marketed. Expressions of interest can be done so by contacting LCC. There are no assigned officers as there is no owned land that is currently looking to be declared surplus. This position may of course change as we start the run-up to the Local Government Review implementation.
