Locations of Private (unlicensed) Water Supplies

Request

Could you please provide the following information on Private Water Supplies within the area specified on the maps attached map:

1)   Location of Private (unlicensed) Water Supplies

2)   Purpose of supply i.e. irrigation, potable etc and yield (annually / daily in cubic meters)

3)  The status of supply i.e. active / historical

4)   Borehole construction details specifically total depth (mBGL), screen length (m) and lithological logs

5)   What aquifer the private well is targeting for supply.

6)   Any groundwater quality and groundwater level (in mAOD) data
 

Decision

1)  Lincolnshire County Council’s (LCC) Flood & Water Team does not hold data on private/unlicensed water supplies. It would be advised that the relevant District Council environmental department may be more likely to hold information of this nature, regarding the Water Industry Act 1991 and Private Water Supplies (England) Regulations 2016.

Furthermore, in the requested area there are multiple areas that do not sit within the Lincolnshire County Council Authority boundary e.g. those to the west of the River Trent. In these areas, contact with each relevant local authority for the requested information would be advised if not already.
