A neighbourhood plan enables communities to develop a shared vision for their community and shape development and growth specifically within their local area. Policies developed within the plan are statutory. Following public consultations with the community, the plan includes a variety of policies and seeks to bring forward positive and sustainable development in the neighbourhood area.
Dunholme Neighbourhood Plan (DNP)
The first Dunholme Neighbourhood Plan was formally adopted by West Lindsey District Council (WLDC) on the 23rd January 2017, and forms part of the Development Plan for our area.

Dunholme Neighbourhood Plan Review 2023 - 2040
A comprehensive review of the original 2017 plan has been undertaken to reflect changes in national and local legislation made through the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and also the proposed changes to growth as identified in the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan Review.
An independent examiner, appointed by the WLDC, has ruled that the proposed changes warrant a public referendum.
Following public consultations with the community the plan includes a variety of policies and seeks to bring forward positive and sustainable development in the neighbourhood area.

Why should you vote?
The final version of the plan, if supported by the referendum, will enable residents, supported by the Parish Council, to have real influence over planning in Dunholme. WLDC will take our plan into consideration in all planning decisions for our area. The Neighbourhood Plan will have real, legal weight.
How to vote
The referendum is scheduled for the 24th July 2025 and will take place in the Dunholme Village Hall Jubilee Room. The question you will be asked is:
“Do you want West Lindsey District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Dunholme to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”
WLDC will shortly be distributing voting instructions to all Dunholme residents.
