Applications
Tailor your application:
- Use the opportunity to tell us about your strengths, interests, and what excites you about the role
- Even if you don’t have work experience, mention school projects, volunteering, or hobbies that show your skills, don’t forget about Duke of Edinburgh award and any responsibilities you’ve been given at school – let us know if you are a house captain, form representative, charity champion.
- If you are a volunteer, a young carer or have a part time job tell us about it!
Apply early:
- Some programmes have limited spaces and fill up quickly
- Keep an eye on application windows and set reminders so you don’t miss out
Use clear and positive language:
- Be confident but honest. Use phrases like “I’m keen to learn…” or “I enjoy working with others…”
- Avoid copying and pasting generic answers - make it personal
If you are invited to an Interview
Prepare for interviews or conversations:
- Think about why you’re interested in the opportunity and what you hope to gain
- Practice talking about your strengths and what makes you a good fit
Show you understand the organisation:
