As a wholetime firefighter, you will respond to many emergency situations. These include:
- fires
- road traffic collisions
- chemical accidents
- floods
- other natural disasters
You will also work within the community to help prevent emergencies by:
- raising awareness of fire prevention and road safety
- carrying out home safety visits
- engaging with older people, businesses, community groups and young people
