Celebrate summer with Artisan Market at The Collection Museum

Collection museum market

The museum will be hosting dozens on local makers and artisans for their summer market on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June 2022, including a unique evening event on the Saturday night.

With 48 artisans in attendance, visitors can expect a wide range of local produce from fine art, photography and contemporary design, to glassware, ceramics, unique up-cycled homeware, candles, handmade jewellery and textiles.

Admission is the market is free, and it will be open 10am to 4pm each day.

Hungry visitors can feast upon selected food and drink pop-ups including Junk Soul Smothered burgers, Goods Bakery, Fenspirits Distillery, Project Doughnut and Chapel House Pizza Co. There will be plenty to keep little ones entertained, including children's activities, free films and face painting.

This year, for the first time, we’ll also be hosting a Night Market taking place from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday 11 June.

At the evening event from 5pm, as well as the artisan and food stalls, there will be live music, a quiz and a live comedy show with five amazing comics. Tickets for the quiz and comedy show are available now from The Collection Museum website and cost just £5 and £10 respectively.

The Muse Bar will be open for snacks, hot and cold drinks, and will operate on extended hours during the market and night market.

Alongside the event we’ll be running a macrame workshop. Spaces are limited, and we’re expecting it to be a popular workshop, so book now to avoid disappointment. For more details and to book visit www.thecollectionmuseum.com

Visitor experience officer, Ann Worrell, who put together the market, said:

"With the longer summer nights our first Night Market will be the perfect Saturday night social on 11 June. The Night Market will allow visitors to enjoy a spot of late-night shopping, socialise with friends and family and enjoy live music from local acts."

Later in the year, The Collection Museum’s Autumn Artisan Market will take place on 5 and 6 November 2022, with dates for 2023 due to be announced later this year.
