Can you provide exciting and fun activities for youngsters over the school holidays?

Three children enjoy a campfire

Local businesses and organisations are needed to deliver a programme of clubs that provide enriching activities, free healthy meals and lots of fun.

Funded by the government through local authorities and delivered by a range of local providers, the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides children with free activities, such as dance, drama, music, sports and games, and opportunities to learn about and enjoy new healthy foods. The programme is open to school-aged children receiving benefits-related free school meals in England.

The council is currently looking for providers to help deliver the programme from Summer 2022 to Winter 2024. To be added to the list, interested providers will need to meet the Government’s minimum standards for HAF

Cllr Mrs Patricia Bradwell OBE, executive member for children's services, said: "The rising cost of living is making initiatives like the HAF programme even more vital for families. Our previous programmes have been very successful with many children and young people taking part. We're now looking for additional providers to help deliver the future sessions, to give more local children a happy, healthy holiday. So, if your business or organisation can help, please get in touch."

The application process for providers is due to open on 18 May. There will be an online briefing for those interested on 19 May between 11am and 12pm.  This event will outline the requirements for delivering HAF in Lincolnshire and explain how applications can be made.  You can book a place here. In the meantime, please sign up to the council’s procurement portal ProContract, which will be used for the application process. If you have any queries, please email HAFEOI@lincolnshire.gov.uk
