Platinum Jubilee Celebration plans being bolstered by plenty of Bank Holiday Street Parties in Lincolnshire.
There will be more than 200 Street Parties in our county to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next week.
Hundreds of Lincolnshire residents took up the invitation to apply through the county council so that they could close roads and hold a memorable celebration of the Queen and her time as Monarch.
Normally it takes 13 weeks for a road closure application to be processed and all necessary legal aspects to be put in place, but that timescale was cut to just four weeks by the council so that as many people as possible could get their party plans in place.
With the application process now closed, we can now confirm that there are 224 street parties happening across four days of the Jubilee weekend.
And with a week to go until the first Bank Holiday on June 2, preparations are really ramping up for the fun and festivities.
Anyone who wants to see where the road closures are across the county can get all the information directly from the live roadworks site: www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/roadworks.
