Despite recent wet weather, the site team has continued making progress beside the A1 in preparation for constructing the new bridged junction connecting the B1174 to the A1.
What we achieved in November
- Began excavation works to the new roundabout west of the A1
- Continued widening works east of the A1, which will allow the trunk road to be realigned and allow for construction access
- Continued processing the materials needed to form the new slip roads, including adding lime to the excavated earth
- Carried out topographical surveying works on the A1
What's happening in December
- Complete earthworks and drainage works for the widening east of the A1, ahead of laying the stone sub-base
- Begin construction of slip roads being built east of the A1
- Continuing excavation works at the new roundabout west of the A1
- Continue on-site material processing for use across the scheme
- Lay road surfacing to the A1's central reservations in preparation of contraflow implementation

- Night-time lane closure on the northbound A1 between Harlaxton to Little Ponton on the evenings of Thursday 12 and Friday 13 December from 8pm to 6am
- Full night-time closure on the southbound A1 between Harlaxton to Little Ponton on the evenings of Thursday 12 and Friday 13 December from 8pm to 6am
- Diversion route via A607 at Harlaxton to A606 to A1 at Stamford
