Tickets are available now for the Lincoln Castle Illuminated Wall Walk.
From Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 December, Lincoln Castle will welcome tens of thousands of visitors for the city’s annual Christmas Market.
Now in its 40th year, Lincoln Christmas Market is one of the largest in Europe, with over 200 stalls spread across the historic uphill area and within the castle grounds.
For the very best views over the market, the Cathedral, and the city below, visitors are invited to walk the medieval walls of Lincoln Castle, which will be adorned with festive lights for the occasion.
Stephanie Beecher, events officer at Lincoln Castle, said:
“The castle provides a unique backdrop for Lincoln Christmas Market but climbing up onto the walls makes the experience that much more magical. You not only get amazing views down onto the market, it’s the best place to get pictures of Lincoln Cathedral and look out over the lights of the city below.
“This event sold out really quickly last year, so get your tickets quickly if you want to walk the walls at Lincoln Christmas Market!”
Tickets for the Illuminated Wall Walk cost £10.50 for adults, £9.50 for concessions, £5.70 for children aged 5 to 16, or £26.50 for a family (up to two adults and three children). Under 5s free.

Valid Annual Pass holders get free entry to this event and do not need to book in advance.
After Lincoln Christmas Market, Lincoln Castle will be decorated with hundreds of Christmas trees, lights, and the ever-popular snow machine for Lincoln Castle Illuminated, which will run from Saturday 10 to Friday 23 December. Tickets for that event are also available now.
