Tell us how we can help you improve your maths

Lincolnshire County Council want to hear from residents about how improving their understanding of numbers could help their daily lives.

Training and support providers across the county will be offering free easy access courses as part of the national Multiply maths skills programme until March 2025.

The county council is keen to hear from those who know their maths skills could be better and want to take steps to improve them.

For employers, the council is also keen to hear how we can help them to support their staff to improve their numeracy skills and help progress their careers.

Two surveys have now been launched to gather views and experiences to help design courses that meet the needs of Lincolnshire people and businesses.

Cllr Patricia Bradwell, executive councillor for adult learning at the county council, said:

“Courses in improving your maths are already on offer across the county, and we want to do all we can to make learning easy to access and fit into people’s lives.

"All the feedback we get will help our trainers design courses that are in the right places, held at the right times and delivered in the right way.

“We know people have had different experiences of learning maths at school. Improving your numeracy skills can really help you get on in your career as well as boosting your confidence with things like your finances and helping your children with school work.”

The surveys will close on 6 February.  We really encourage Lincolnshire residents to have their say and help to shape this programme to meet people’s needs.
