B1225 improvements in Walesby set for March

Works to rebuild sections of the B1225 near Walesby will start in early March.

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: “This one-mile stretch of the B1225 near Walesby is starting to deteriorate, so we’ve taken the decision to rebuild it now before it gets any worse. 

“As part of these improvements, we’ll be rebuilding this section of the B1225 using over 3,500 tonnes of tarmac and other road-building materials.”

Dates and timeframes

Monday 6 March for up to six weeks

Traffic management

Daytime road closure will be in place on the B1225 from 8am to 6pm (weekdays only). 

Location of works

From the Middle Lane junction to the Main Street junction in Stainton le Vale

Diversion route

B1225 / A46 / A18 / B1203 / B1225, and vice-versa

Cllr Davies added: “We'll be doing everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum throughout the project, including maintaining access for residents and emergency vehicles during our working hours.”
