Lots of works was completed during July, including the installation of 30 new street lighting columns and sign posts across the site.
What we achieved in July
- Completed laying kerbs on A16 widening along southern approach and laid bituminous carriageway base layers
- Continued drainage works adjacent to the A16 western widening, including installation of two new pre-cast concrete headwalls and regrading of existing ditch
- Installed street lighting ducts on western side of A16 between Marsh Lane and London Road
- Erected approximately 30 new street lighting columns and sign posts across site
- Progressed works at Marsh Lane/Wyberton Low Road crossroads, including installing new kerbing, tactile paving and signals infrastructure
- Continued surfacing new shared use cycleway/footway surfacing from the A16/London Road roundabout to the Spirit of Endeavour pub access along Marsh Lane
- Continued shared use cycleway/footway works along Marsh Lane between Wyberton Low Road and Lealand Way, including laying new dropped kerb tactile crossing points at accesses
- Progressed Openreach utility diversion works at Marsh Lane roundabout

- Continue works on western side of A16 Marsh Lane roundabout
- Switch over lane closures on A16 to begin works on south eastern side of Marsh Lane roundabout
- Commence shared use cycle/footway works along Wyberton Low Road and Marsh Lane east
- Continue traffic signals installation at Marsh Lane /Wyberton Low Road crossroads
- Begin night-time resurfacing works at Wyberton Low Road

Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures
- Temporary traffic signals on Marsh Lane to carry out trial holes to locate the Gas pipe and water main from 14th August for four evenings, 7pm to 7am
- Night-time closure on Wyberton Low Road from Tuesday 8 August for four evenings, 7pm to 7am
- Temporary traffic signals and convoy working on Marsh Lane (for road resurfacing) 7pm to 7am during weekend dates in September to October from Saturday evening to Monday morning (exact dates to be confirmed)
