Improvements to A52 in Huttoft planned for April 24/02/2020

The total programme of works is expected to last for six weeks, Monday to Friday, subject to suitable weather.

Cllr Richard Davies, Executive Member for highways, said: "Not only will we be rebuilding a 1.2km section of the A52 in Huttoft, but we're also taking the opportunity to carry out footway repairs, construct a new footway outside the primary school and reconstruct the bus layby outside the village hall while on-site.

"We intend to do everything we can to minimise disruption, including phasing the works to co-ordinate with the school holidays.

"The first phase of works will be carried out under temporary traffic signals so that traffic can continue moving during the Easter holidays.

"We'll then close the road during daytimes for four weeks so that the team can safely reconstruct the A52 here.

"I want to reassure people that we'll also do our very best to maintain access during the road closure for those living and working in the area.

"The A52 is one of Lincolnshire's busiest roads and these improvements will make travelling on it safer and more comfortable. That's why we ask for your continued patience while these works are carried out."

Below is the initial planned programme of works. More details will follow once a Contractor for the works has been appointed.
