Bypass team donates planters to local parish council

Bypass planters

The Lincoln Eastern Bypass project team donated a number of planters to Cherry Willingham Parish Council for their community square.

The planters, made out of plastic drainage pipe cut offs on-site, were created and delivered by Galliford Try foreman Jim Hardy and other GT colleagues.

The plants themselves were kindly provided by Galliford Try sub-contractor Bell Form Work Civil Engineering Services.

Sharron Brylewski, Chair of Cherry Willingham Parish Council, said: "On behalf of Cherry Willingham Parish Council, I wish to extend my gratitude for the gift of planters, complete with plants, which are in situ in our village and being enjoyed by our community.

"Many positive comments have been received both verbally and posted on social media. I know that different groups and individuals are keen to “adopt a planter” and so we shall enjoy watching them bloom for many years to come."

Galliford Try Communication Liaison Manager, Clare McMillan, said: “This is a very important part of our role as a team at the Lincoln Eastern Bypass.  We are proud to be part of the local community in Lincolnshire, making a difference where we can in addition to delivering the new bypass.”
