Awards success for holiday programme

Members of the HAF team receiving an award from the Golf Foundation

Lincolnshire’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has won the Golf Foundation’s prestigious President’s Award 2025 for Community Project of the Year.

The award was in recognition of the outstanding impact of the government-funded programme’s partnership work with the Golf Foundation, PING and Golfway. Through this collaboration, HAF providers across Lincolnshire have introduced golf training into their clubs, giving children and young people the chance to experience a sport they might not otherwise have tried.

Cllr Natalie Oliver, executive member for children’s services, said: “This well-deserved award highlights the way in which the HAF programme can bring new opportunities for our young people.

“To build on this success, we’ve worked with our partners to create a golf scholarship programme, so young people with an enthusiasm for the sport can become members at their nearest course and receive a golf bag and clubs. We’re committed to expanding this scholarship to ensure even more young people can continue their golfing journey beyond HAF, promoting lifelong participation in sport.”
