Unique, one-day-long FREE photo exhibition happening inside buses at Temple Gardens

IN a first for bus companies across the county, a special one-day exhibition will be held showing incredible photos of buses, their routes and the people that use them – and the exhibition itself will happen INSIDE three buses themselves.

Tuesday, September 30 will see three buses arrive in the grounds of the Usher Gallery where the FREE art exhibition is taking place.

It’s all happening to celebrate the culmination of Catch the Bus Month which is Bus Users UK’s national celebration of the benefits of buses.

Lincolnshire County Council and local bus providers have been taking part, encouraging more people to get on board for the good of the economy, the environment and their health and wellbeing.

LCC’s online bus information provider, LincsBus, has been posting innovative bus related photographs on social media every day throughout September to showcase the diversity of bus users and the wide range of reasons for travelling by bus across Lincolnshire.

This campaign has been raising awareness and usage of public transport with more than 60,000 people seeing the images online.

The photographs, taken at bus stops and on bus routes throughout Lincolnshire, are now available to view up close and in the warm and dry at this exhibition. Running from 10am to 2pm, the bus fun at the end of a busy bus month really illustrates many reasons why people use Lincolnshire buses.

Mike Reed, Head of Transport at LCC said: “This photography exhibition celebrates the wide range of people who use buses across Lincolnshire and their many reasons for doing so.

“The event may be fun but Lincolnshire County Council is serious about investing in our bus services including real time displays, new bus shelters and value for money fares.”
