The Pilgrim School has won two categories at this year’s Education Today School and Supplier Awards.
At a ceremony in London last week, the school walked away with the prizes for creative school of the year and overall school of the year.
Steve Barnes, headteacher at The Pilgrim School, said: “The school was recognised because of its innovative approach, founded on the psychology of hope. Drawing on the expertise of colleagues at the University of Michigan and the University of Alberta, we’ve been able to create an environment in which our students can thrive, significantly improving their future life chances. We’re now beginning to share our approach to supporting students with mainstream colleagues through a charity we’ve created, helping build on this good work.”
Cllr Natalie Oliver, executive member for children’s services at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Huge congratulations to The Pilgrim School on their well-deserved success. The efforts of the school’s leadership team and staff have made a real difference to their students, giving them a great start in life. I’m delighted that all their hard work has been celebrated with these awards. Well done!”
