The old one will be removed and a new one put in its place
Jonathan Evans, Head of Highway Client at Lincolnshire County Council said: "These works are being carried out to improve the condition and long-term durability of the footpath that sits on Nettleham road.
“The works will mean that we are providing a more level, reliable and safer path for pedestrians.”
Location of works
The scheme will focus on the slabbed sections of footpath between Longdales Road and Palmer Road
Dates and times
The works will begin on Monday, February 2 with a planned end date of Tuesday, February 10. Working hours will be between 07.30 and 17.30 Monday to Sunday.
Traffic management
A northbound road closure is required for the duration of the works with a diversion route in place throughout. Access will be maintained for residents.
Diversion route
The signed diversion route will be; Broadway / Newport Road / Longdales Road and vice versa.
Jonathan Evans added: “Because of the nature of the work, which will cost around £40,000 to deliver, there will be some disruption to the usual traffic flow to keep road users, pedestrians and our crew safe during the process.
“We have come up with a programme where the crews will be working on the weekend of February 7 and 8 to help get this completed as quickly as possible. We will continue to do everything we can to limit the length of time that these works take.
“I would like to thank everyone effected for their patience and understanding whilst these works are happening.”
