Daytime works to replace the worn out carriageway on the A46 Caistor Road, from the A1103 junction to the B1434 junction, will start on Tuesday 26 May.

The total programme of works is expected to last for three weeks, subject to suitable weather.

As part of the works, a full road closure will be in place from 7:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The diversion route for the closure will be via A46 to Caistor By-Pass / B1225 to Ludford / A631 to Market Rasen / A46 to Usselby, and vice versa for cars and light goods vehicles.

The diversion for HGVs will be via A46 to Caistor By-Pass / B1225 to Burgh on Bain / A157 to Wragby / A158 to Lincoln By-Pass / A46 to Usselby, and vice versa due the low railway bridge at Market Rasen.

Please note there is surface dressing planned on the A157 between Burgh on Bain and Hainton on Tuesday 26 May. This will be performed under Stop & Go/Convoy traffic management.

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: "As part of these works, we'll be resurfacing parts of the A46 in Usselby to replace road surface that is nearing the end of its serviceable life.

"We'll be doing everything we can to limit disruption throughout the three-week project, including maintaining access for residents and emergency services.

"I want to thank everyone for bearing with us during these improvements. Not only will they help keep the area's road network up and running, but they'll also mean smoother and safer journeys for everyone traveling on the A46."
