After months of work, Lincolnshire County Council has helped ensure a brighter future for the Lincoln care home under a new owner.
Ashley Court is a privately-owned care home for 15 adults with disabilities. In April 2025, its owner, Amplius, told the council that it could no longer continue running the home and had been unable to find another provider to take it on. As a result, the home faced closure.
Now, thanks to the council’s efforts, a new owner has now been found, with Ashley Court becoming part of Annicare.
Cllr Steve Clegg, Executive Member for Adult Care and Health, said: “Several of the residents at Ashley Court have lived there for decades – it’s their home. We didn’t want to see that community torn apart so we’ve worked tirelessly with partners to find a way to keep the home open.
“It hasn’t been easy, and it’s taken some time, but I’m delighted to say that a solution has been found. I’d like to thank Annicare for stepping up and keeping this wonderful home open, and also to Amplius for giving us the time to find a way forward.
“I know this news will be a great relief to those living at Ashley Court, and their families, and I’d like to thank them all for the patience they have shown at an incredibly difficult time. Today, the future of Ashley Court is looking much brighter, and I’m proud that the council’s been able to play its part by bringing Amplius and Annicare together, ensuring a smooth handover.”
