An overview of progress on the Grantham Southern Relief Road project.
What we achieved in April
- Installed steelwork for shunt 2 of the bridge, including installing 4x pairs of main girders (60-80t each), cross girders and maintenance access gantry
- Installed of launch tail for shunt 2
- Commenced installation of permanent formwork and cantilever falsework to the deck for shunt 2
- Continued installation of temporary works to Pier 3 for shunt 2
What's happening in May
- Continue installation of permanent formwork, cantilever formwork and commence deck rebar installation
- Commence preparation of launch equipment for shunt 2
- Continue temporary works installation to Piers 2, 3 and 4
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Lane restrictions around the B1174 Roundabout to facilitate the construction of the haul route and access into site.
