What we achieved in April
- Established temporary site compound and parking
- Continued site-wite clearance
- Commenced haul road construction and installation of site wide fencing
- Supported St Christophers School with building their allotment
- Visited South Hykeham Parish Council to present information about the scheme
What’s happening in May
- Begin main construction works
- Continue site-wite clearance
- Demolition of Station Road properties
- Construct haul roads, fencing and site accesses across site
- Carry out site-wide electric and water utility diversions
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Temporary traffic restrictions i.e. reduced speed limits at all junctions
- Temporary traffic signals at main junctions to facilitate construction of accesses and haul road crossings (located at South Hykeham Road, Brant Road, Grantham Road, and Station Road)
Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures
- Various alterations to Public Rights of Way near to where the relief road is being built from Wednesday 7 May
- Diversion of Viking Way footpath from Wednesday 7 May
- Closure of Somerton Gate Lane from Thursday 7 May
