Crews onsite at Enterprise Way
Lincolnshire County Council has made the decision to close a section of Enterprise way, Pinchbeck.
Officers have reported that a large depression has appeared on the road itself and, as a result, the adjacent footpath has become unusable.
The specific section is Stephenson Avenue up to Edison Close junction.
There will be a well signed diversion route in place during the closure, which is: Enterprise Way / Benner Road / Wardentree Lane / B1356 Spalding Road.
Shaun Butcher, Highways Manager at LCC said: “We will initially investigate the cause of the depression by excavating in the vicinity of the road and footpath areas affected.
“We will update with what will happen next as soon as we have the information from the excavation, until then we cannot say when the road will be open again.
“Our crews are working onsite and we will carry out these works as quickly as we can.
“I would like to apologise for any disruption this causes and thank everyone for their understanding and patience while we get on with the excavation.”
