What we achieved in June
- Completed construction of site compound
- National Grid working within lane closure during west side works for Phase 1
- Planned out carriageway (west side) for installation of new kerbs near Pool Close junction and Kings Road junction for Phase 1
- Excavation of footway and installation of new edging kerbs near Pool Close junction (west side) for Phase 1
What's happening in July
- Complete National Grid works for Phase 1
- Complete 75% of west side footway for Phase 1
- Removal of existing traffic signals for Phase 2
- Trial holes for confirming utilities apparatus depth for Phase 2
- Vegetation clearance for lighting columns installation for Phase 2
- Break out existing footway and kerbs for Phase 2
- Installation of new traffic signal infrastructure for Phase 2
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Phase 1 – From West Elloe Avenue to King’s Road (from mid-June to early September) –
- One-way system northbound
- National Grid working within lane closure during west side works. –
- Diversion route via West Elloe Avenue / Holbeach Road / A16 / A1157 / A15 / A151 / Winsover Road / Bond Street Court / King’s Road
- Phase 2 – From West Elloe Avenue to Park Road (late July to early September)) –
- Multi-way temporary traffic signals
- Park Road closed 24/7 due to proximity to level crossing
- Diversion route via Pinchbeck Road / Kings Road / Bond Street Court / Winsover Road / Park Road, and vice versa

- Phase 3 – From Park Road to Woolram Wygate (early September to late October)
- Multi-way temporary traffic signals on Pinchbeck Road
- Woolram Wygate closed 24/7 due to proximity to level crossing
- Diversion route via Park Road / Park Close / Woolram Wygate, and vice versa
- Candent Gas working within closure
