Time is almost up for anyone thinking about getting solar installed through the Switch Together scheme.
Registration shuts tomorrow, Friday 24 July, and once the window closes, this offer disappears. So, if you’ve been meaning to look into this solar scheme then this is the moment to act before you miss out.
Solar is a smart way to cut bills and generate your own energy, but choosing a supplier and figuring out what’s right for your home can feel overwhelming. That’s exactly why this scheme exists (and why people are hurrying to get their details in before the deadline).
Switch Together is run by Lincolnshire County Council in partnership with iChoosr. It helps households access solar technology at competitive prices, without having to compare dozens of installers or navigate the market alone. Registering is free and there’s no obligation to go ahead, but you do need to be signed up before the deadline to receive a personalised offer.
How the scheme works
- Households register their interest
- iChoosr groups those registrations together
- Installers then bid for the work in a reverse auction
- The most competitive offer wins
- Residents receive a tailored outline of costs and installation details
- You then have four weeks to decide whether to proceed
The offer covers solar panels, battery storage, optional EV charge points and retrofit battery options for homes that already have panels. Some households may also be able to earn money by exporting unused energy back to the Grid.
Cllr Danny Brookes, Executive member for Environment, said: “Lots of people have already signed up to see what Switch Together can do for them, but with the deadline now upon us, I’d urge anyone who’s been thinking about solar to get registered while they still can. The scheme gives you a clear proposal, reliable systems and competitive pricing, and you’re under no pressure to go ahead if it doesn’t suit you.”
Don’t miss the cut‑off
If you want to be included, you need to register before tomorrow. After that, the offer closes.
