Lincolnshire County Council has confirmed the temporary road closures that will be in place when the Lloyds Tour of Britain comes to Lincoln on Wednesday 2 September.
The county will host the start of Stage 1 of Britain's biggest free-to-attend sporting event, with thousands of spectators expected to line the streets as some of the world's best cyclists race into the historic city.
To ensure the event can be delivered safely, a number of temporary road closures will be in place throughout the day.
Cllr David East, executive member for highways at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "We're looking forward to welcoming the Tour of Britain to Lincoln and showcasing the city to a national and international audience.
“Many of the roads used for the finish are familiar to residents and cycling fans, following sections of the iconic Lincoln Grand Prix route, including the challenging climb of Michaelgate and the spectacular finish around the Cathedral Quarter.
"To allow the race to take place safely, a number of temporary road closures will be needed throughout the day. We've published the full list of closures now so residents, businesses and visitors can plan ahead.
"Clearly signed local diversion routes will be in place wherever possible to help people continue travelling around the city. We'd encourage everyone to check the timings before travelling and allow extra time for their journeys where needed. Details of the diversion routes for the A57 and A1500 will be published closer to the event.
