19,000 properties are getting the fridge-friendly critical information item for FREE
Lincolnshire has experienced several significant weather events in recent years, and LCC is committed to helping residents access the information they need before, during and after flooding.
To support this work, we're sending out 19,000 free Darcy the Mole magnets that contain an easy-to-use QR code for when you need essential information quickly.
The magnet is being sent out to residents across the county and has been designed to provide quick access to flood reporting information, practical advice and support services that may be helpful during periods of severe weather.
The QR code is on the magnet and if you have a smartphone or tablet, simply open your camera, point it at the black-and-white blocks and tap the link that appears on your screen. This will take you directly to Lincolnshire County Council's flood reporting webpage.

The webpage also includes details about the Local Water Alarm System, a free service that allows residents to sign up for alerts by text message or email. Notifications are issued when water levels in local rivers and watercourses reach key trigger points, giving residents valuable early warning and more time to prepare.
Whether you notice a blocked drain, standing surface water, an overflowing watercourse, flooding on a road, or any situation where water is not where it should be, reporting it promptly can help the relevant authority investigate and take action before the problem becomes more serious – where possible.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to scan the QR code and familiarise yourself with the information available. Having easy access to flood reporting services and local advice can make a real difference when severe weather strikes.
