Chart-topping drum and bass stars Rudimental are heading to Lincoln next summer for a special night of big beats and massive anthems.

One of the biggest names in British dance music, Rudimental will bring a high energy show to Live at Lincoln Castle on Friday 25 June, joined by UK garage star MJ Cole as special guest while MC Gardna will open the show.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 16 October via lincolncastle.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.

Rudimental, made up of friends Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden and Leon Rolle, have led the way for British electronic music for more than a decade, with global hits including Feel The Love, Waiting All Night and These Days.

Across their career, Rudimental have sold more than 25 million singles and 3 million albums worldwide, amassed more than 5 billion streams, scored three UK Number One singles and two UK Number One albums, while collecting BRIT and MOBO Awards alongside a Mercury Prize nomination. With platinum certifications across the UK, Australia and beyond, they remain one of the defining acts in modern British dance music.

Last year saw the release of their self-titled fifth studio album featuring the Top 10 lead single Dancing Is Healing. Celebrating the sound system roots they discovered as teenagers, the album puts climactic, expressive hooks and crisp, energetic breakbeats back in the spotlight.

Special guest on the night will be British composer, producer and live performer MJ Cole whose work continues to influence UK music from the soulful depths of garage to expansive contemporary and classical-inflected projects.

Emerging from the late-90s UK underground, MJ Cole was central to the rise of two-step UK garage. His breakthrough track Sincere became one of the first garage songs to break into the UK Top 40, propelling the genre into the mainstream.

Last year he marked 25 years since that pivotal release with a run of performances including Glastonbury, We Out Here Festival and London’s KOKO.

Opening the show in Lincoln will be Gardna, a genre-blending MC and artist from Bristol, known for his boundary-pushing sound and high-energy live shows. His electrifying performances spanning bass, UK garage, jungle, dub and beyond have earned him global recognition and regular features on BBC Radio 1.

The headline concerts are presented as part of an ongoing partnership with Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor to bring world-class artists to perform in this outstanding historic location.

Cuffe and Taylor promoter Mark Harrison said: “This is a brilliant show for the summer – three leading lights and pioneers of British dance and drum and bass music, which will make for a lot of fun within the stunning setting of Lincoln Castle. Don’t miss out on seeing Rudimental and finding out for yourself that Dancing Is Healing!”

Kimberley Vickers, Lincoln Castle manager, added: "We’re thrilled to have Rudimental join next summer’s lineup – a booking that shows there is something for every live music fan to enjoy at Live at Lincoln Castle. The band will make history when they take to the castle stage, becoming the first drum ’n’ bass act ever to perform inside the monument’s thousand-year-old walls.

"With an incredible back catalogue of hits to get your blood pumping and a reputation for electrifying live performances, all set against one of the country’s most atmospheric venues, we’re sure everyone will Feel The Love next summer."

Rudimental is the latest artist announced for Live at Lincoln Castle 2027 which will also see headline shows from Bananarama, Holly Johnson, Kaiser Chiefs, Alfie Boe, Ronan Keating, and Jack Savoretti and James Morrison.
