An overview of progress on the Spalding to Pinchbeck Active Travel Improvements project.
What we achieved in October
- Restored the two-way system on Phase 1
- Completed eastside footway for Phase 1
- Completed westside footway and drainage works for Phase 3
- Continued works on eastside footway and drainage works for Phase 3
- Carried out vegetation clearance on all phases
- Completed upgrade of permanent traffic signals for West Elloe and Woolram Wygate junctions
- Continued signs and street lighting works for all phases
What's happening in November
- Carry out carriageway reconstruction for Phases 1 and 2
- Complete eastside footway and drainage works for Phase 3
- Complete footway works on Woolram Wygate junction and reopen level crossing
- Complete upgrade of permanent traffic signals for West Elloe and Woolram Wygate junctions
- Continue works on westside and eastside footway and drainage works for Phase 4
- Complete signs and street lighting works for all phases
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Phase 3 – from Park Road to Woolram Wygate (until mid-November)
- One-way system northbound on Pinchbeck Road from north of Park Road junction
- Woolram Wygate closed 24/7 due to proximity to level crossing
- Diversion route via Park Road / Pennygate / Woolram Wygate, and vice versa
- Phase 3/4 – from Woolram Wygate to Hospital Road (until mid-December)
- One-way system northbound on Pinchbeck Road
- Access to hospital from north maintained
- Diversion route via Pinchbeck Road / Spalding Road / Wardentree Lane / A16 / Holbeach Road / West Elloe Avenue, and vice versa
- Phase A – from south West Elloe Avenue to King’s Road (until late November)
- Road closure from 6pm to 6am
- Diversion route via West Elloe Avenue / Holbeach Road / A16 / A1175 / A15 / A151 / Winsover Road / Station Approach / King’s Road, and vice versa
- Phase B – from West Elloe Avenue junction to King’s Road (until late November)
- Road closure from 6pm to 6am
- Diversion route via Pinchbeck Road / Spalding Road / Wardentree Lane / A16 / A1175 / A15 / A151 / Winsover Road / Station Approach / King’s Road, and vice versa
