The project is entering into the final stages of construction, with road reconstruction and final traffic signal installation works the focus in September.
What we achieved in August
- Completed construction of the embankment, kerbs and drainage to the A17 slip road
- Reconstructed the full depth of the carriageway on the A17 entry slip road
- Completed kerbing, drainage and installation of traffic signal equipment on the southern island
- Completed excavation, kerbing and drainage on the east side of the A153, north of the bridge
- Completed streetlight column installation on the west side of the A153
- Completed two of the three WPD and BT utility diversion works
- Installed the new LV electric connections that will power the traffic signals and streetlights
- Commenced construction of two new central traffic islands
What's happening in September
- Complete excavation, kerbing and drainage on the east side of the A153, south of the bridge
- Complete the two central islands on the A153, including the installation of traffic signals equipment
- Complete all traffic signals installation
- Complete all surfacing, white lining and traffic signal loop installation
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Full 24/7 closure of eastbound A17 exit slip road
- Right-turn ban off of the A153 onto the A17
- Temporary 30mph speed restriction and narrowed lane on A153 East Road
- Two-way traffic signals (occasional weekend/off- peak usage when required)
Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures

Phased night-time road closures on the A17 and A153; starting on Monday 7 September for just over three weeks; 7pm to 6am

Phase 1 – A17 entry and exit slip roads (up to 5 nights starting from Monday 7 September)
- Diversion route via A17 Holdingham Roundabout to Kirby La Thorpe, and vice versa

- Diversion route via A15 North / B1181 Scopwick / B1188 Ruskington, and vice versa
