Council leader Councillor Martin Hill met with Grantham and Stamford MP Gareth Davies and International Trade Minister, Ranil Jayawardena last week.
They paid a visit to businesses such as Korbond in Grantham, where they discussed new trade and growth opportunities for UK businesses.
Cllr Hill said: "Korbond who retail cotton here in Grantham are a really heartening story. They're actually ready to take advantage of new trading situations and have already starting to export.
"With the support of the government and the council, I'm confident that as a small business they can grow a lot in the future, employ more people and importantly bring wealth to the county."
