The total programme of works, starting on Monday 17 May, is expected to last for up to four weeks, Monday to Friday, subject to suitable weather.

As part of the project, the C220 Scotter Road at Laughton Wood, between its A159 junction and the speed limit signs entering village, will be fully closed.

The diversion route for the 24/7 closure will be via A159 Gainsborough Road / C218 Blyton Road / C220 Scotter Road, and vice versa.

Karen Cassar, Assistant Director – Highways, said: "As part of these works, we will be rebuilding and widening Scotter Road near Laughton Wood.

"This will involve removing the current carriageway and replacing it with 2,500 tonnes of tarmac and other road materials.

"Once complete, these improvements will make travelling around the area much safer and more comfortable for all road users."
