Holdingham Roundabout update – Carriageway widening to B1518 Lincoln Road underway

Holdingham works

May will see work begin on drainage and kerbing works to the roundabout and continued progress on ditch and A15 reconstruction between Navenby and Brauncewell.

What we achieved in April

  • Progress with Anglian Water diversion
  • Diversions planned on A15 North with BT and asset protection works with WPD
  • Continued earthworks on the central island, including filling with sub-base materials
  • Prepared the A17 dual carriageway ditch for carriageway widening and drainage works
  • Continued carriageway widening to the B1518 Lincoln Road Sleaford, including kerbing and drainage works
  • Began carriageway reconstruction works on the A15, between Navenby and Brauncewell

What's happening in May

  • Continue Anglian Water diversion
  • Begin drainage and kerbing works to the roundabout's central island
  • Continue works to the ditch on the A17 dual carriageway ahead of drainage installation.
  • Continue carriageway widening to the B1518 Lincoln Road Sleaford, including surfacing
  • Continue carriageway reconstruction works on the A15, between Navenby and Brauncewell

Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures

  • Temporary 30mph speed restriction and 50mph speed restriction on the A17 dual carriageway
  • Narrowed lanes on the A17 dual carriageway on the approach to the roundabout
  • Reduced lanes on approach to roundabout during off-peak times
  • Signalised pedestrian crossing facility on A17, and to central roundabout for workforce
  • Rolling road closures on the A15, between Navenby and Brauncewell
