July will see work begin on the installation of traffic signal ducting, kerb laying and the start of construction of a maintenance track to the central island.
What we achieved in June
- Completed drainage works to the roundabout's central island and to the A17 dual carriageway ditch
- Started carriageway widening to A17 West, A17 East and A15 North.
- Completed Anglian Water diversion/upgrade works and BT cable diversions
- Completed carriageway reconstruction works on the A15, between Navenby and Brauncewell
- Traffic diverted to the inner lanes of the roundabout to allow works to progress on its outer perimeter
What's happening in July

- Lay kerbing on A17 West, A17 East and A15 North.
- Build laying bituminous sections of road and kerbing to A17 West
- Continue road reconstruction of A15 between Gorse Hill Lane to Slate House Farm
- Start road reconstruction on A15/B1429 junction at the Cranwell
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Temporary 30mph speed restriction and 50mph speed restriction on the A17 dual carriageway
- Narrowed lanes on the A17 dual carriageway on the approach to the roundabout
- Reduced lanes on approaches to roundabout during off-peak times
- Signalised pedestrian crossing facility on A17 and to central roundabout for workforce use
- Night-time road closures on A15 between Green Man Road and Gorse Hill Lane until early July, 7pm to 6am
- Pedestrian diversion via the A17 overbridge
Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures
- One-way closure of A17 Newark (westbound towards Newark) on Saturday 3 July and Saturday 17 July, 7am to 6pm
- Diversion route via A15 South, A153 West, A607 North
- Lane closures on the A17 dual carriageway (east of roundabout) for improvement works and grass-cutting on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 July from 9am to 3:30pm
- One-way closure of A15 Bourne (southbound towards Bourne) on Saturday 7 August and Saturday 14 August, 7am to 6pm
- Diversion route via A17 West, A607 South, A153 East
