Further expansion joint repairs set for next week at Pelham Bridge

Pelham Bridge update

This week, kerbs were laid along the south end of the bridge and central reservation, with additional expansion joint repairs set for next week.

Works to repair Pelham Bridge in Lincoln started on 7 June.

This week, the team also continued laying ducting for underground street light cables and filled in the central reservation with concrete.

The team also secured posts for new safety barriers, which will be installed in the coming weeks.

Next week, sub-contractors will be arriving on-site to tarmac the main bridge deck, along with a base for the footways. The team will also be installing signage and pouring more concrete for street lighting columns.

There are also further repairs to carry out on some of the bridges expansion joints.
