Surfacing of the roundabout and its legs starts this month
What we achieved in August
- Continued installation of streetlight ducting and boxes
- Continued drainage to all legs of the roundabout
- Continued kerbing on A17 West, A17 East, A15 North and A15 South
- Completed kerbing between A17 East to B1518 Sleaford
- Completed rebuilding the widened sections around the roundabout outer circulatory and constructed lower sections of road in the new widened areas
- Completed road reconstruction on A15, between Navenby and Brauncewell
What's happening in September
- Continue installation of traffic signal ducting and boxes
- Commence traffic signal equipment installation
- Continue installation of streetlight ducting and boxes
- Begin installing new streetlighting columns
- Construct kerbing for all new splitter islands
- Install kerbing on the B1518 (northbound)
- Begin final surfacing the roundabout circulatory and all of its legs
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Temporary 30mph speed restriction and 50mph speed restriction on the A17 dual carriageway
- Reduced lanes on approaches to roundabout during off-peak times
- Signalised pedestrian crossing facility on A17 and to central roundabout for workforce use
- Pedestrian diversion via the A17 overbridge
