What we achieved in September
- Completed installation of traffic signal ducting and boxes
- Completed kerbing for all new splitter islands
- Completed installation of streetlight ducting and boxes
- Completed construction of all road base material
- Commenced installing new street-lighting columns
- Commenced final surfacing the roundabout circulatory and all of its legs
What's happening in October
- Commence traffic signal equipment installation
- Erect traffic monitoring cameras
- Complete kerbing to the B1518 northbound
- Complete final surfacing of the entire roundabout
- Complete carriageway markings
- Complete carriageway traffic signal loops
- Complete all new drainage
- Complete installation of all streetlight columns
- Commence footway construction
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Temporary 30mph speed restriction and 50mph speed restriction on the A17 dual carriageway
- Reduced lanes on approaches to roundabout during off-peak times
- Signalised pedestrian crossing to central roundabout for workforce use
- Pedestrian diversion via the A17 overbridge
