Lincolnshire County Council's heritage sites are preparing to put visitors in a festive mood this Christmas with a fantastic array of events and experiences. There are also plenty of other festive events happening around the county.

Enjoy spectacular views over Lincoln's Christmas Market.

In the run up to our extra special event, Lincoln Castle Illuminated, and especially for Lincoln's Christmas Market, we will be lighting up the Castle's Medieval Wall Walk. You will have the chance to enjoy magical views across the City throughout each evening. It is an opportunity, not to be missed.

Lincoln Castle Illuminated will offer families and friends some much needed fairytale, festive sparkle with the return of this beautiful and special Christmas experience.

  • Walk through displays of Christmas lights and Christmas tree lined pathways. 
  • Enjoy a hot chocolate and mulled wine within the Castle's festive grounds. 
  • Make those last minute Christmas purchases from the Castle's shop.
  • Take in the spectacular sites from up high, by upgrading and purchasing an Illuminated Wall Walk ticket

Museum of Lincolnshire Life

Why not come along and get a first-hand look into how Victorian Lincoln celebrated Christmas at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life.

You will also have the opportunity to meet Mr Black the printer and he will help you understand how things were done in Victorian times and you can produce your own print.

Meet Nelly the kitchen maid as she is busily preparing for Christmas Day.

Entry is free!

Festive Craft activities for the family at £3.00 per child.

Beauty and the Beast – Theatre Royal
