Phase Three works continue forward

What we achieved in January

Phase Two

  • Completed installation of street lights and fencing across site
  • Completed northbound surfacing works and street light installation on the A1

Phase Three

  • West side of site – laid concrete base for the new bridge/sheet piling for pier three / filled the access track at the B1174 roundabout
  • East side of site – completed initial surfacing visit at Somerby Hill Roundabout / continued rock processing and main road excavation / continued drainage works

What's happening in February

Phase Two

  • Undertake inspections across site

Phase Three

  • West side of site – begin main piling works / carry out pile excavation works and cropping / off-site trial erection of bridge pier / continue bridge abutment works
  • East side of site – continue east embankment work, including level monitoring / continue rock processing and main road excavation / continue second phase of Somerby Hill roundabout works including additional drainage, ducting, kerbing and surfacing

Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures

  • 50mph speed limit and narrowed lanes on the A1 between Harlaxton to Little Ponton
  • Ongoing lane closures on the B1174 roundabout until the end of the scheme
  • Temporary traffic signals and lane closures as needed at Somerby Hill Roundabout until Spring 2022
