Lincolnshire environmental crime partnership

I am writing in my position as a member of the Lincolnshire Environmental Crime Partnership Lincolnshire Environmental Crime Partnership (lincolnshire-pcc.gov.uk) ] and as the team lead in the Police and Crime Commissioners, Safer Together Team.

The work of the Safer Together Team includes working with partnerships and representative community groups, to hear the voice of communities for the Police and Crime Commissioner, and share information that is relevant to community safety, crime prevention and empowering communities to be safer together.

Waste crime poses a significant threat to our environment, health and community wellbeing. As local leaders and voices of communities, I believe that providing Lincolnshire residents with relevant information on these issues supports them to make informed decisions, as well as helping us to tackle the challenges faced together.

As a member of the Environmental Crime Partnership I would like to take the opportunity to share.

The Environment Agency has produced a series of PDF guidance documents for the public, landowners and the construction industry. They give guidance on reporting waste crime, what to look out for and whether to report to the Environment Agency or Local Council, and also what to do with your waste. As a member of the Environmental Crime Partnership, I am providing the attached documents to relevant partnerships and organisations who may find the resources of value to disseminate further, raising awareness and encouraging proactive and preventative measures within your local area.

I appreciate any support in empowering communities across Lincolnshire to be informed on the issue of waste crime.

Kind Regards

Lee-Anne Flewers-Andrews
