In common with most councils, Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) charges for its Adult Social Care services.
To ensure charging is fair and easily understood by everyone, the Care Act 2014 provides a single legal framework for charging for care and support. We follow this framework, applying the overarching principle that people will only be required to pay what they can afford.
- Lincolnshire County Council charging policy
- Care Act 2014
- annual guidance provided by the government
- care and support statutory guidance
The charging policies may vary between councils, but all are based on this information from the Government.
The annual statement of charges is an appendix to the policy which is updated every year. This states what the contracted costs will be for the types of care. E.g the hourly rate for homecare, weekly rate for a residential care bed etc. It also states the allowances used within the financial assessment for living expenses and disability related expenses.
