Hazardous and clinical waste

Waste is hazardous if it is harmful to people or the environment.

Hazardous household waste items, such as weedkiller, are usually marked with an orange label and can be taken to some of our recycling centres.

Information on what specialist or dangerous waste your local Household Waste and Recycling Centre can accept can be found on our A-Z of Waste guide.

Clinical waste

Clinical waste comes from healthcare activities that may pose a risk of infection.

For advice, contact NHS Lincolnshire or your local health care professionals.

Your district or borough council may offer a clinical waste collection service.
