Donate or take free paint from our Community RePaint stores at Grantham and Louth Household Recycling Centres.
Reusing can save money and helps to protect the environment by preventing thousands of litres of perfectly good paint from going to waste.
How it works
When leftover paint is dropped off at the site it is added to the Community RePaint store.
Other residents and community groups can then take any paint they might need for their DIY projects from the store for free – you’ll just need to sign for it
If you would like to donate or collect paint, simply speak to a member of staff on site.
If you do not like the paint or have an issue with it, please bring the tin back to site on your next visit. We will either put it back into the store for reuse or dispose of it correctly.
Please note we cannot guarantee the amount of paint available in the store each day.
Paint for donation or collection
We have a large variety of leftover paint available in different colours and finishes.
Most paint is accepted, provided it is still useable and at least half full.
Paint we accept:
- Emulsion paint
- Gloss paint
- Eggshell paint
- Satin paint
- Primers and undercoats
- Floor paint
- Masonry and exterior paint
- Varnish and wood stain
- Tile paint
What we can’t accept:
- Paint thinners such as white spirit
- Paintbrush cleaner
- Paint stripper
- Wood preservatives and treatments
- Pesticide products
- Specialist and industrial paint
- Aerosol and spray paint
- Cellulose-based paint
- Any paint containing lead
Opening times
Find Community RePaint stores at the Grantham and Louth Household Waste Recycling Centres.
Both stores are open from Friday to Tuesday, 9am to 4pm.
More Community RePaint sites are expected to open at other recycling centres across the county throughout 2025.
