Unwanted items

Give your unwanted items a second life

When you visit one of our Household Waste Recycling Centres, you can pass on good-quality items that still have plenty of life left in them. Helping to protect the environment and keep Lincolnshire green.

By choosing re-use, you’re reducing the need for new products to be made, saving valuable resources and cutting carbon emissions. It’s a simple action that makes a real difference locally.

If you’re bringing along items such as bikes, furniture, mirrors, children’s toys, pictures or other reusable goods, please speak to a member of site staff. They’ll be happy to help you place them into our re-use scheme rather than disposing of them.

At the Lincoln and Market Rasen sites, recent changes mean there is now a dedicated re-use drop-off area. Making it even easier to donate items safely.

All reusable items from sites across the county are then:

  • sent to the Tattershall Re-use Shop
  • donated to one of our charity re-use partners
  • or sent to auction, helping items stay in use for longer

If you’re unsure whether something can be reused, just ask a member of staff or look out for the re-use drop signage during your visit.
